bio

Avigail Manneberg is a Minneapolis-based painter whose work explores how power moves through homes, bodies, borders, and memory. Working in figurative abstraction and across multiple scales, her paintings examine the emotional echoes of displacement, intimacy, and resilience as they surface in everyday life. Raised in the Middle East, shaped by years living in Berlin, Germany, and now based in Minneapolis, her work reflects layered experiences of migration, belonging, and the fragility of home.

Manneberg is a member of Rosalux Gallery. She earned a B.Des. from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and an MFA from the University of Minnesota. Her time in Germany was supported by fellowships from DAAD, and she studied at the University of the Arts Berlin. She has exhibited internationally and received multiple grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the University of Minnesota Human Rights Initiative.
